Contract Staffing Services

Contract staffing built around how your team works.

With nTech contract staffing, you get a qualified professional on-site or remote while we handle employment, payroll, benefits, and compliance. You manage the work; we manage the employment side.

It's the right model when the need is project-based or time-bound, when you need someone in days rather than months, or when you want to evaluate a contractor before committing to a permanent hire.

Best when: surge capacity is needed for a defined window — a product launch, a system migration, a peak period. Short-term temporary staffing with a defined end date and fast placement.
Employer of record
EOR — global contract staffing
Best when: you need contract talent in India or LATAM without establishing a local entity. nTech acts as employer of record, handling payroll, tax, benefits, and compliance in-market.

How nTech's contract staffing process works.

From the initial brief to onboarding and ongoing follow-up, nTech stays involved throughout the contractor engagement. Our 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins help catch issues early and keep the placement on track.

Because the placement only succeeds when the contractor succeeds.

01

Understand the need — before writing the req

Is it a skills gap, a capacity gap, or an outcome gap? We model the right workforce approach before sourcing begins — contract, temp, contract-to-hire, or EOR.

02

Technical screening — not just keyword matching

Every IT contractor is screened against the actual role requirements by a recruiter who understands the tech stack. You get a focused shortlist of candidates who match the role.

03

Candidates in 48–72 hours

For roles within our active IT talent network — software, cloud, data, project management — you see qualified candidates within two to three business days, not two to three weeks.

04

Onboarding, payroll, compliance — handled

nTech manages W-2 employment, payroll taxes, benefits, co-employment compliance, and workers' compensation. You direct the work. We handle everything else.

05

30 / 60 / 90-day check-ins — built in

We follow up at 30, 60, and 90 days to confirm the placement is working — for you and for the contractor. If it isn't, we fix it quickly. Guarantee replacement terms apply.

What our clients say

Hear it from our clients

The best measure of our work is what our clients say after they've worked with us.

nTech didn't just fill our open roles — they understood the pressure we were under. They stayed engaged through day 90, flagged a potential retention risk early, and helped us course-correct before it became a problem. That kind of partnership is rare in staffing.

Marcus Reid
VP Workforce Operations · Health Insurance, Mid-Atlantic

We brought nTech in to scale our engineering team for a federal contract under tight timeline pressure. They placed 12 cleared professionals across 4 states in under 6 weeks. The compliance documentation was airtight. I've worked with big-name firms — nTech outperformed all of them.

Diane Holloway
Director of Talent Acquisition · Government Contractor, DC Metro

Our India expansion was stalled because we couldn't figure out compliance. nTech's EOR model had us operational in Hyderabad in three weeks — no entity setup, no legal headache. The team they sourced has been with us 18 months and counting. I wish we'd called them two years earlier.

James Okoye
COO · Technology Scale-up, Austin TX

We've used three staffing firms in the past two years. nTech was the only one that actually learned our business. They asked different questions — not just about the role, but about our team dynamics and what had caused previous hires to churn. That changed the quality of every candidate they sent us.

Brian Callahan
CTO · SaaS Platform, Chicago IL

We have supplier diversity requirements that most staffing partners struggle to meet. nTech's MBE certification made them the right fit on paper — but it was their delivery that made them a long-term partner. Two years, four divisions, and counting.

Priya Nambiar
VP People & Culture · Enterprise Healthcare, Boston MA

I was skeptical about using a staffing partner for a turbomachinery role — it's a niche skill set and we'd been burned before. nTech's energy practice knew the domain. They asked the right technical screening questions without us having to write them. We had a qualified shortlist in four days.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from HR, talent acquisition, procurement, and finance teams evaluating contract staffing partners.

What is contract staffing, and when should we use it instead of a full-time hire?

Contract staffing means nTech places a qualified professional into your team for a defined period — we employ them, handle payroll, compliance, and co-employment risk, while you direct the work. It is the right model when the need is time-bound or project-specific, when you need headcount without a permanent commitment, when budget approval for a full-time hire is uncertain, or when you want to evaluate a contractor's fit before converting them permanently.

What is the difference between contract staffing and temporary staffing services?

In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably. Within nTech's model, temporary staffing services typically refers to shorter-term placements — days to a few months — often for defined surge periods, peak seasons, or backfill cover. Contract staffing typically runs longer — three months to multi-year — and is used for skilled IT professionals, engineers, and specialists on active programmes. Both models have nTech as the employer of record, managing payroll, compliance, and benefits.

Who is the employer of the contractor — nTech or us?

nTech. All W-2 contractors are employed by nTech Workforce. We handle payroll taxes, workers' compensation, benefits administration, and employer-side compliance. The bill rate you pay covers the contractor's pay rate plus burden — payroll taxes, benefits, workers' comp, and nTech's service margin. This structure helps your organization manage and reduce co-employment risk. If you have a candidate who already has a 1099 arrangement or needs EOR employment in another country, those are separate structures — nTech handles both.

What IT contract staffing roles does nTech actually fill?

Our IT contract staffing practice covers software engineers (.NET, Java, Python, React), cloud architects and engineers (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps and platform engineers, data engineers and analysts, cybersecurity specialists, QA and test engineers, IT project managers (PMP, Agile, SAFe), systems analysts, business analysts, and network engineers. For government clients, we staff cleared IT professionals across these disciplines. For healthcare, we add health informatics, clinical systems, and revenue cycle technology roles.

How quickly can nTech place an IT contractor?

For roles within our active talent network — software development, cloud engineering, data and analytics, and IT project management — we deliver qualified candidates within 48 to 72 hours. For specialist, clearance-required, or highly niche roles, timelines depend on the market. We give you an honest estimate on the first call. Speed matters, but a fast wrong candidate costs more than a careful right one — so we screen technically before any CV reaches you.

How does contingent workforce management work with nTech?

For clients with multiple contractors on programme, nTech can manage the full contingent workforce lifecycle — sourcing, vetting, payroll, compliance, co-employment risk management, timesheet, and post-placement follow-up at 30, 60, and 90 days. For larger programmes, we offer managed direct sourcing — where nTech operates as your primary supplier and manages other vendors — as well as contingent labor management and contingent workforce management solutions. Our healthcare client recorded a 4.8% cost reduction and 17.9% faster time-to-fill using this model over five years.

Can we convert a contractor to a permanent employee?

Yes. Contract-to-hire staffing is one of the most common models our clients use — it lets you evaluate a contractor on the real role before making a permanent offer. nTech's conversion policy is transparent: once the agreed contract term has run, conversion to permanent is available. The conversion fee structure is disclosed upfront — not after you have decided to hire. If you need to convert early, that can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Can nTech staff contractors for government, healthcare, and regulated programmes?

Yes. nTech is NMSDC MBE-credentialed, ISO 20000-1:2018 certified, and experienced in clearance-sensitive and HIPAA-aware programmes. Screening and compliance documentation are built into every engagement — a human accountable on every decision. For government contractors with supplier diversity mandates, nTech qualifies as an approved MBE staffing vendor. Our healthcare contract staffing practice operates with HIPAA-conscious delivery methodology and compliance documentation built into the process.

Do you work inside our MSP or VMS programme?

Yes. nTech works within managed service provider and vendor management system programmes including Beeline, Fieldglass, and Coupa. If your contingent workforce programme runs through an MSP, we can onboard as an approved supplier and submit candidates through your existing workflow without requiring you to change your process or systems.

Can nTech provide IT contract staffing in India, LATAM, and the UAE as well as the US?

Yes. nTech's Hyderabad hub delivers IT contract staffing and EOR services for US companies building or scaling teams in India — without a local entity. LATAM contract staffing is active across Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia, primarily for energy sector and enterprise technology clients. In the UAE, nTech staffs IT, energy, and enterprise roles across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. nTech handles global contract staffing under one agreement.
